IJRDO Journal of Archaeology has a publication ethics policy to ensure that research is properly managed and published. It requires the authors, reviewers and editors to maintain high standards of ethics.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are expected to:

Present original work that has not been published
Not have the manuscript submitted elsewhere
Accurately report data and results
Acknowledge all references
List all authors who contributed

Plagiarism, falsification and misrepresentation are not permitted.

Authorship & Contribution

All authors listed must have contributed significantly. The corresponding author should ensure that:

All co-authors have seen the final version
All authors agree to submit and publish
Post-submission author changes must be justified

Plagiarism & Duplicate Submission

Plagiarism Policy

The journal does not publish plagiarised material
If found significantly similar, the manuscript may be rejected
Authors must ensure their work is well written and cited
 

Multiple and Duplicate Submission

Authors should not simultaneously submit a manuscript to more than one journal
No part of the article should be published elsewhere without written permission from the journal

Data Accuracy & Integrity

Academic Rigour

Authors must ensure that:

Data is accurate and clearly presented
Data is not manipulated
The limitations of the study are discussed

Good data is important for academic rigour.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

Provide fair and unbiased feedback
Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript
Evaluate the manuscript based on quality and importance
Avoid conflicts of interest

Comments should be clear and constructive.

Editorial Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for:

Making fair and independent decisions
Ensuring that submissions are kept confidential
Ensuring that the review process is followed
Responding to ethical issues raised

Reviewers' and editors' decisions are based on the merit of the work.

Conflict of Interest & Corrections

Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers and editors must declare any conflicts of interest. This could be anything that may affect the review or publication process.

 

Corrections and Retractions

In the event that an error is discovered:

Issuing corrections when needed
Articles may be withdrawn in serious cases
The journal may take steps to ensure that the record remains accurate
 

Ethical Compliance

Where necessary, studies on human subjects, remains, or heritage sites should be conducted in accordance with appropriate ethical guidelines and approvals. Authors should confirm that they have followed the proper procedures.
